Niño 2.0

designed for Bern Helmets

An update to a Bern classic, the Niño 2.0 is a helmet designed to keep kids literally & figuratively cool with its highly ventilated design and much-needed updates to graphics. On this project, I was responsible for trend research which included traveling to trade shows, demographics research, and trend forecasting in order to create helmets kids can be excited & proud to wear.

Analyzed our internal sales data as well as market trends to find opportunity spaces for new kid’s helmet development and help guide decision-making for features, benefits, and CMF.

using data

mixing data & trend

Based on the performance of previous models and colors mixed with trends from trade shows, I put together trend/mood boards for pattern update inspiration where we drew from eclectic patterns, hand-drawn aesthetics, and classics made new.

to help with retailer understanding and for DTC sales assets, renders & turntables were created in keyshot.
